Lafayette birthday party shooting sends 3 to hospital

LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) — The Lafayette Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Delord Street and found one person injured. Officers later learned two other people had gotten shot and were taken to the hospital in private vehicles.

Investigators said the shooting happened in the 800 block of Delord Street around 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 17. They added people at the party moved from a house to the street and that's when the shots were fired into the crowd.

Police said none of the injuries are considered life-threatening and all three victims are expected to recover.
