News 15 Year of Service

Love of People’s present and future goals: “Helping Others Help Others” was originally created in 1993 by Paul Williams Jr. with the intentions of creating a community support system for underserved citizens throughout St. Landry Parish. In 2014 his son, John Williams, revitalized his father’s non-profit in-order to re-engage his parents and private clients with the community and connect other retired professionals with service opportunities. With the help of his mentor, Marcelle Citron, Love of People was revitalized and has made a huge impact, built community relations and engaged all demographics of Acadiana especially underserved communities.”

Julian’s Diaper Drive is in its 6th year! Love of People has hosted a diaper drive which is named after John Williams son, Julian. Julian has made a tremendous impact in his community, having donated 500 plus cases of diapers every year throughout Lafayette and St Landry Parish. Julian is definitely continuing the Williams legacy of service.
