Dodge Charger stolen in Acadia Parish crashed in Jeff Davis Parish.

JEFF DAVIS PARISH, La. (KADN) — Two people are hospitalized after the stolen car they were in crashed during a high-speed chase in Jeff Davis Parish, deputies said.

According to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies received a BOLO from the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office on Saturday, March 9, about a stolen green Dodge Charger on I-10 West.

Deputies spotted the car and tried to pull it over but the driver refused to stop, according to JPSO.

Deputies said they were able to successfully use spike strips on LA 102 (Pine Island Hwy.) before LA 26. They added the car continued west on LA 102 and went airborne over LA 26, crashing into two parked vehicles near Hathaway High.

JPSO reported the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with charges pending against both of them. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Louisiana State Police assisted in the crash investigation.
