Alexa Chung has released a new collection with British accessory brand Mulberry to mark her 50th anniversary.
Launched this week, the new Mulberry x Alexa Chung line marks the model’s latest collaboration with the brand, which gave its name to one of its most popular handbags, the Alexa, when it debuted in 2010. .
This time around, the collection is inspired by vintage saddlebags and the original Elkington briefcase that inspired the Alexa bag.
It’s stocked with a range of men’s bags big enough to hold everything you might need for the day, unlike some of the brand’s evening bags, which are much smaller.
There are patent styles and also some that come in shiny crocodile finishes.
Colors range from earthy undertones of dark chocolate and tan to more vibrant green and blue hues.
But the inspiration behind the collection comes from the androgynous styles led by Lauren Hutton and Charlotte Rampling in the 1970s.
